North Philly Aztecs Basketball

When you hear the name Aztecs, the first thing that probably comes to mind is our world class youth football program. They have been so dominant in Pop Warner youth football, it's hard not to. But for the past four years, the basketball program has been holding it's own weight. We've won numerous league championships, the Citywide Tournament and our AAU program has received many trophies and awards to prove. The Aztecs offer teams for all ages ranging from 8-16 for our Rec. season. We have 11U, 13U and 14U for our AAU program. This program is built on work ethic. We don't demand our kids to be the best players in the world, we demand that they be the best players they can be. Hard work, dedication and a will to learn is all you need to be a Tec. We are living in a harsh world today, so every minute we can keep a child off the streets, doing something positive and constructive, is a plus in our book.

Speaking of books, the players are assigned a weekly writing or reading assignment. Education is always first priority, and we as coaches are willing to work with parents to make sure that fact is enforced. Good grades will always be acknowledged. Basketball is a stepping stone to a great future, and we want all our players to understand that. We're going to show your child how to play the game of basketball. We will also inform him or her on the importance of a education.

The Aztecs basketball coaches are highly motivated and love teaching the game of basketball.  Every coach, in the Aztecs basketball organization, is dedicated to the improvement of your child's basketball game.  Along the way, Character...Respect... Dedication...and Fun... will all be essential and required pieces of your child's personal development during his or her basketball experience with The Tec!
